flowkey is an interactive piano learning app designed to help people of all levels learn to play using real songs. It pairs a song library with structured lessons and listens to the user play, providing instant feedback as they progress. The app listens through the device microphone or a connected MIDI keyboard and offers a Wait Mode that pauses until the user hits the correct notes. Each song shows a split screen with video of a pianist playing alongside synchronized sheet music. Practice tools include slow-motion playback, a loop function to repeat a chosen section, and the ability to practice the right and left hand separately. It includes thousands of song arrangements across genres and difficulty levels, plus step-by-step courses covering music theory, chords, and how to read sheet music. flowkey is aimed at beginner through advanced pianists who want to learn at their own pace on an acoustic piano or keyboard.
