Two favorite airs : (Lewie Gordon & The rising of the sun) : adapted for the harp & piano forte

Arrangements of two well known airs, including the Jacobite song Lewie Gordon, for a composer born in Edinburgh into a musical family. Scottish melodies were enormously fashionable in London at the turn of the nineteenth century. Haydn and Beethoven both accepted commissions to arrange them, and a Scottish-born musician working in London was well placed to supply the demand.
