Andante
Simple music practice journal for iPhone and iPad.
About
Andante is a music practice journal and companion app that helps musicians stay organized, consistent, and motivated. It centers on logging practice sessions for any instrument and reflecting on how those sessions go, combining tracking with built-in practice tools. Sessions can be run live with a built-in timer and tools or added manually after the fact, and users can track their mood and focus to notice patterns in productivity. Practice tools include a metronome, a drone tuner, and an audio recorder. A Journal lets you write notes, plans, and ideas in one place, while motivation features include practice streaks, daily goals, and charts that visualize progress. Other features include practice reminders, a Home Screen widget, Siri Shortcuts, iCloud sync across devices without an account, multiple practice profiles, and the ability to export practice data as a CSV file. Andante is aimed at students and hobbyist musicians who want a simple, well-designed way to build a practice habit. It is currently available only on Apple platforms (iPhone, iPad, and Apple Silicon Macs and Vision), with no Android version. It follows a freemium model: the app is free to download, and an Andante Pro in-app purchase unlocks premium features such as unlimited profiles and data export.
