forScore
Digital sheet music library and performance app.
About
forScore is a digital sheet music app for reading, organizing, annotating, and performing from PDF scores, designed exclusively for Apple devices. It aims to replace paper sheet music while adding capabilities paper cannot offer. Users can import PDFs by saving them from the web, pulling them from cloud storage providers, or downloading purchases from sheet music retailers, then sync everything via iCloud. A dynamic, metadata-based library keeps listings organized without manual files and folders, and adaptive caching makes page turns nearly instantaneous. Musicians can annotate scores—built around deep Apple Pencil support that captures marks instantly—create and reorder setlists, rearrange pages, add bookmarks, and play along with audio tracks. Hands-free page turning is supported through page-turning pedals, MIDI signals, or wireless synchronization between nearby devices. Additional tools include a piano keyboard, a pitch pipe, and practice time tracking with goals, while the iPhone version uses Reflow technology to reformat pages for small screens. forScore is aimed at performing musicians, students, and ensembles invested in the Apple ecosystem. It runs on iPhone, iPad, Mac (Intel and Apple Silicon), and Apple Vision Pro as a single universal purchase. It uses a one-time paid model, with an optional forScore Pro subscription for advanced add-on features.
